When thinking of world literacy, it's important to remember that 758 million adults (15 years or older) world wide remain illiterate (Unesco 2016). There are still a broad gap between genders and literacy, women remaining at a big disadvantage (two thirds 505 million women are illiterate).
Access to education is political, we need of ways to add access to literacy and the materials to empower people to read.
What is literacy? Is it just to read and write? What about countries with not writing alphabet
